The National Institutes of Health (NIH)  is partnering with UTSA and UTHSCSA to host a regional NIH multi-IC (NIAID/NCI/NIBIB/NIGMS) *SBIR/*STTR small business workshop in south-central Texas.

  • Prepare current and next-generation of biomedical entrepreneurs to compete in the SBIR/STTR programs administered by NIAID, NCI, NIBIB, and NIGMS
  • Present the NIH SBIR/STTR programs as a unique career opportunity in biomedical entrepreneurship and commercialization
  • Provide the knowledge and guidance needed to apply for SBIR/STTR grants
  • Address NIH SBIR/STTR policies and regulations
*SBIR = Small Business Innovation Research
*STTR = Small Business Technology Transfer
