The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) Institute for Economic Development (IED) is collaborating with UTSA Center for Infrastructure Assurance and Security (CIAS) and Small Business Development Centers (SBDCs) throughout the state of Texas to provide the Texas Cybersecurity Compliance Program (TCCP).

TCCP aims to support opportunities to assist DoD contractors and manufacturers in complying with DFARS requirements and enhancing overall defense suppliers. UTSA will coordinate three
cybersecurity activities for businesses, including:
• Cybersecurity Training for DoD contractors on DFARS NIST requirements
• Cybersecurity Awareness Training for DoD manufacturers and contractors
• Cyber physical security workshops and assessments

The Texas Cybersecurity Council’s broad statutory charge is to collaborate on matters of cybersecurity concerning the State of Texas. Pursuant to Tex. Gov. Code Section 2054.512, it is led by the State Cybersecurity Coordinator and is comprised of professionals representing academe, critical infrastructure, and the state government. One of the Coordinator’s and Council’s charges is to establish a statewide information sharing initiative. The primary service of the Texas Information Sharing and Analysis Organization (TX ISAO) is to be accessible to a statewide forum, which will facilitate information sharing regarding cybersecurity threats, best practices, and remediation strategies between the public and private sector.
