SURF 2016 | San Antonio Military Health System (SAMHS) and Universities Research Forum

May 20, 2016 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

| Free

logoThe University of Texas at San Antonio will host the second annual San Antonio Military Health System and Universities Research Forum (SURF) on Friday, May 20, 2016, highlighting the latest research and discoveries of trainees, faculty, staff and students from health-related disciplines. Last year’s inaugural forum exceeded expectations with hundreds of health care professionals and researchers from both military and civilian institutions attending what turned out to be one of the city’s largest professional development forum dedicated to health care research. This year, the San Antonio Life Sciences Institute (SALSI), a collaboration between UTHSCSA and UTSA, is a presenting sponsor.

With attendees from the military, government, education and industry, it is one of the city’s largest professional development forums focused on health care research. In addition to connecting members of the military with local scholars, SURF will provide members of the military with the opportunity to earn CME and CEU credits.

This year, we have 40 speakers and 94 poster presentations. Each was peer-reviewed and subsequently reviewed by the Joint Base San Antonio Nurse Educators, Physicians, and Allied Health Professionals to ensure compliance for accreditation.
