For fall 2015, UTSA Research is either hosting, organizing, or facilitating a range of workshops, lunch & learns, conferences, lectures and talks for everyone on the UTSA campus to discover, learn, engage and develop.
Grant Workshops:
UTSA Research’s Office of Research Support offers a variety of services for research-engaged faculty and students. Our facilitators — UTSA staff, faculty and invited researchers from outside the university — are here to simplify what may seem to be a complicated process and answer all your questions.
In October, we continue with our lunch and learns. This time, the topic is “Finding Funding and Managing Funding Searches”, offered on both the main and downtown campuses, whichever is more convenient. Bring your lunch and questions and we’ll provide desserts and answers. We will be also hosting Robert Porter, former director of research development at the University of Tennessee. With thirty years’ experience as a tenured professor, private consultant and research administrator, his proposals have won more than $8 million in awards from government agencies and private foundations. He will host a series of four workshops over two days. You can pick and choose the ones you want or attend all four — it’s your choice.
