Federal Partnerships

Office of Strategic Research Development

The Office of Strategic Research Development builds strategic collaborative partnerships with both public and private local, state, national and international organizations. Dedicated to outreach and engagement, they build new and expanding existing partnerships between UTSA researchers and experts at federal agencies, national laboratories, corporations and small businesses. The Federal Relations team is focused on expanding engagements with federal agencies and organizations.

They track priorities of the federal agencies, and existing and emerging funding mechanisms; they understand the general United States Government (USG) structure, key activities, and terms of reference that can help improve faculty interactions with these agencies while advocating for institutional priorities. They also facilitate federal engagements and external discussions on campus and in Washington, D.C.
