This workshop disentangles and defines NSF’s Broader Impacts criteria and provides participants with examples and cases where broader impacts have been identified to maximize the interrelated nature of intellectual merit and broader impacts, while contrasting these elements from outreach, dissemination and education plans. At the conclusion of this workshop, participants will have a clearer idea of the broader impacts that fit their research topics.
