About our Business Service Center (BSC)
Responsible for administering the financial processes and procedures including overseeing budgetary planning and execution for the Office of Research. This team will also collaborate with colleges and provide funding to support strategic initiatives. The BSC processes business, financial, and payroll/personnel-related transactions for the Office of Research departments while ensuring compliance with state and university policies.
- Monthly reconciliations
- Travel requests and settlements
- HR personnel request (hiring, transfers, terminations, etc.)
- Procurement request
- Processing invoice payments
- Room requests (conferences, meetings, events)
- Office access request
- Order food for meetings
- Inventory management
- Phone extension and data line requests
- Maintain network printer lease agreements
- Process facility work-order requests
- Maintain and track work-study allocation
