Manual UTSA’s policy in regard to electrical work and modifications is you must be trained, certified and/or competent. This also includes modifications to machines or equipment.
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO DO ELECTRICAL WORK OR MODIFICATIONS WITHOUT AUTHORIZATION!
If modification or electrical work is needed then contact the Laboratory Safety Division AND the Superintendent of Maintenance. Rick Taylor, the Superintendent of Maintenance, is UTSA’s certified electrician and competent authority over laboratory electrical work and / or equipment modifications.
