Cayuse Training

Cayuse is the online human subjects research submission portal utilized by UTSA. This course is designed to instruct new users how to navigate through Cayuse and submit a study for approval by the UTSA Institutional Review Board. Participants will learn what qualifies as human subjects research according to federal regulations and tips for a successful submission. Participants are encouraged to access Cayuse during the course and navigate through the site along with the instructors.

Objectives: By attending this course participants will learn what meets the criteria of human subjects research according to federal regulations. Participants will be able to successfully navigate through the online submission system, Cayuse, and successfully submit their study proposal for review by the UTSA IRB. The benefits of this course are improved understanding of human subjects research requirements and quicker review time by the UTSA IRB.

Audience: Faculty, undergraduate students, and graduate students who conduct research with human subjects.
