GenAI is everywhere. It can stir mixed feelings of awe, excitement, skepticism, and more. Researchers are already using GenAI to automate their workflows. New GenAI tools – both free and commercial – advertise tantalizing capabilities, but are they right for you? What questions and concerns should a researcher consider when selecting and using a GenAI tool? We’ll discuss some of these questions and demo several GenAI tools being used in the academic research workflow.
