LABORATORY SPECIFIC TRAINING
General online safety courses form a basis to introduce everyone to basics of laboratory safety however; they are not a replacement for the specific, specialized training needed to operate safely in a research environment. Faculty and laboratory supervisors are required to train their staff and students on the hazards and techniques specific to their facility and to keep documentation of this training.
The Laboratory Safety Division provides a number of documentation methods that can be used to meet this training requirement. These samples can be adapted to meet the needs of your specific lab.
